Zion Lewistown

Pastor Jim Williams will officiate at the 10:30 a.m. worship service this Sunday at Zion Church Lewistown Valley. Sunday school is scheduled for 9:30. a.m.

Calvary Lewistown

Terry Gerber will conduct the 10:25 a.m. worship service this Sunday at the Lewistown Valley Tabernacle, with the message given by Chiz Rider. The service will be followed by a luncheon at noon. Sunday school is scheduled for 9:15 a.m. The evening service will consist of a concert given by Chiz Rider and his son at 6:30 p.m.

Wednesday prayer meeting, Aug. 3 at 7 p.m.

Sunday, Aug. 7 will be the Sunday school all day picnic, following the morning worship service. Bring a covered dish to share.

Tamaqua Seniors

The Tamaqua Senior Citizens met on July 21 with 25 members in attendance. President Mary Bittle opened the meeting with the reading “On My Old Front Porch Swing.” Mary Ann Fisher and Shirley Kaiser were added to the sick list.

The group meets every Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Coaldale Complex. Anyone 55 and older is invited to attend.
