CCTI Joint Operating Committee

The Joint Operating Committee of the Carbon Career & Technical Institute approved the following items:

• Substitute rates for the 2022-2023 school year: Teacher (Category A per diem), Day 1 through Day 15 $105 per day, Day 16+ Cumulative $115 per day; Teacher (Category B short-term), 16-89 Consecutive Days $160 per day; Teacher Aide, Day 1 through Day 15, $100 per day, Day 16+ Cumulative $110 per day; Secretary, $100 per day; Administrative, $200 per day

• Substitute custodian/maintenance/groundskeeper/cleaner, $15 per hour.

• Substitute van/bus driver of $25, effective July 1, 2022 through June 2023.

• Harold Resh, Auto Service Technology Instructor, Anna Leigh Conway, Science Teacher, Angela Sablich, Science Teacher, and Scott Bartholomew, Special Education Teacher to attend the PAC & TA (Pennsylvania Association of Career & Technical Administrators) Fall Workshop for CTE Instructional Coaches, Sept. 22 and 23, at the Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center, State College, at a cost not to exceed $1,600 to cover the cost of registration, transportation, accommodations, and meals.

• Nate Rinda, director of technology, attend the Pennsylvania Association of Career & Technical Administrators 2022 Fall Workshop CTE Technology Coordinators, Sept. 22 and 23, at the Penn Stater Hotel & Conference Center, State College, at a total cost not to exceed $500 to cover registration, lodging, and mileage.

• Eugene Colosimo, guidance counselor attend the PACTA 2018 Workshop for CTE School Counselors, Sept. 22 & 23 at the Penn Stater Hotel & Conference Center, State College, cost not to exceed $500 to cover registration, lodging, and mileage.

• Buying 800 CCTI course handbooks at a cost of $6,200.

• Submitting Carl Perkins Career and Technology grant to the PA Department of Education in the amount of $156,039.

• Buying a Combi Oven, Gas, to include a Combi-Duo Universal Stacking Kit, and Stationary Oven Stand at a cost of $38,542.48 for the Culinary Arts technical area. Cost includes 2 years parts and labor & 5 years generator warranty, installation, trainings. This piece of equipment is included in the Capital Plan.
