Carbon DA announces new tip line

Carbon County has a new tip line to help report criminal activity.

On Friday, District Attorney Michael S. Greek announced the new tip line and email address for the public.

“Tips may be made by phone call, text message or email.” Greek said. “Our goal is to provide the public with multiple options to provide information to our office. Text and email allows for pictures and videos to be uploaded which was previously unavailable with only a phone number.”

When using the tip lines, the District Attorney’s Office asks that you provide as much descriptive information as possible such as the date and time of suspicious activity, the municipality and street location where the activity is taking place and the names of people involved.

If you provide your name and number, investigators may contact you; however, if you choose to remain anonymous, be assured the information you provide will be acted upon.

The Crime Tip Line is not to be used for emergencies nor is a substitute for 911 services.

Information may be provided to the Carbon County District Attorney’s Office by texting or calling 570-249-4678 or by email at tipcarbon@gmail.com.
