The Lansford Alive Committee’s “Music in the Park” program continues through Aug. 28.
The free concerts are held in the John F. Kennedy Park at the gazebo located at the west end of the borough, next to the Panther Valley School District stadium. Each concert will run from 6 to 8 p.m.
All proceeds from the refreshment stand will benefit the revitalization of the park.
The concert series is a fundraising activity of the Lansford Alive Committee, which is a nonprofit, all-volunteer charitable organization dedicated to the sole purpose of helping the community with the improvement and the beautification of the park.
Upcoming concerts include:
• July 24, The Boys Upstairs, Pottsville, (‘70s through ‘90s, radio hits);
• July 21, Gunslinger Band, Bowmanstown, (Country rock, rock-a-billy);
• Aug. 7, Tammy G., Lansford, (’50-60s, oldies);
• Aug. 14, Toolshed Jack Duo, Tamaqua, (Steven and Brian, ‘70s through ‘90s);
• Aug. 21, Dustin Flyte, Lansford, (17-year-old acoustic guitar);
