The Nesquehoning Historical Society will be open on the following days in August:

• Aug. 6, 9 a.m. to noon, free open house

• Aug. 9, 6 p.m., membership meeting

• Aug. 13-14, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., open house during the Community Yard Sale Days.

The organization will be selling chances for its annual fundraiser on these dates. New designed Nesquehoning Historical Society T-shirts will also be available for purchase.

Tours are free, however, donations are always appreciated. The society is located at 157 W. Railroad St.
