Schuylkill County crashes

State police at Schuylkill Haven report the following crashes:

• A Carbon County driver was involved in a two-vehicle crash on July 26 at 2:18 p.m. along Route 443 (Long Run Road), at the intersection with South Front Street, in Wayne Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said a 17-year-old female from Schuylkill Haven, driving a 2004 Buick Lacrosse, attempted to cross 443 from South Front Street and did not have a clear view. Her vehicle was struck in the rear passenger side by a 2011 Subaru Impreza driven by Troy A. Hottenstein, 49, of Lehighton.

No one was injured.

The teen driver was cited for obedience to traffic control devices.

• Troopers also investigated a crash at 8:52 a.m. on July 14 at the intersection of Summer Hill Road and Hickory Lane, in South Manheim Township.

Troopers said Edward V. Sweeney, 62, of Auburn, was driving a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu on Hickory Lane while Luke A. Magner, 19, of Orwigsburg, was driving a 2007 Kia Optima on Summer Hill Road. At the intersection the Malibu struck the passenger side of the Kia.

No injuries were reported.

Troopers indicated that Sweeney was cited for false statements and penalties.

• A three-vehicle crash was reported at 12:27 p.m. on July 12 at the intersection of Route 61 and a jug handle near Seven Stars Road in North Manheim Township. Troopers said Brandon M. Sullivan, 34, of Pottsville, driving a 2014 Ford F150 pickup truck northbound on 61 and ran the red light at the jug handle, striking the rear of a 2009 Mercury Mariner driven by Kyle R. Blankenhorn, 33, of Cressona and the front of a 2003 Ford Windstar van operated by Donald H. Randt, 64, of Schuylkill Haven.

No injuries were reported. The Ford pickup and the Mercury were towed.

Troopers cited Sullivan for obedience to traffic control devices.
