Daniel Cipko said he and his brother Ralph experienced one of the happiest moments in their lives yesterday seeing and hearing their $21,000 donation in action.

The two had given funds to Carbon County, which paid for the repair and installation of an audio system in the Carbon County Courthouse Clock. The clock had not kept time for several years, nor did it chime.

Rather than simply fix what was broken, the brothers also paid for an audio system that includes 120 songs.

Daniel said the working clock should “be a reminder to everyone - the judges, the commissioners, the courthouse employees, to be on time.”
