State police

State police investigated the following incidents:

• Two Palmerton area residents have been cited after a domestic incident.

State police at Lehighton said troopers responded to the area of 57 Drive, in Towamensing Township, for an inactive domestic incident. On scene it was determined that Alexander Frey, 35, and Kathryn Frey, 30, had engaged each other in a physical altercation. Both were issued citations for harassment - physical contact.

• Troopers also reported on July 2 at 8:04 p.m. a traffic stop of a 2020 Ford Explorer was made at Pohopoco Drive and Koch Road, in Towamensing Township, for numerous vehicle code violations. As a result the driver, a 35-year-old man from Henryville, who troopers declined to identify, was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was taken into custody for DUI. He was given a breath test which resulted in a 0.146 BAC. Charges are to be filed.

• On July 1 at 10:35 p.m. a traffic stop of a 2009 Subaru Forester was made along Lehigh Drive in Palmerton. The driver, a 21-year-old woman from Reading, who troopers declined to identify, was found in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Charges were filed.
