State police at Lehighton reported investigating a two-vehicle crash at 11:27 a.m. on July 2 at the intersection of Route 209 and Glendale Drive, in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County.

Troopers said Brittany A. Nowak, 32, of Sciota, was operating a 2011 Nissan Rogue and stopped at a stop sign on Glendale Drive and failed to yield to oncoming traffic on Route 209. She attempted to make a left turn onto 209 with her vehicle striking a 2002 Hyundai Elantra operated by Michelle Miller, 39, of Kunkletown, who was northbound on 209.

Both drivers were attended to at the scene by West End ambulance personnel. Two passengers with Nowak, Sandra Nadeau, 25, of Hudson, New York, and a female infant from Sciota, were not injured. Troopers cited Nowak for a stop sign violation.
