Woman injured in Schuylkill road rage incident

State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating a road rage incident that occurred on July 4 in Schuylkill County.

Troopers said at 4:03 p.m. they responded to Route 61 at the intersection with Pottsville Street in North Manheim Township for a road rage incident. The victim, a 28-year-old woman from Pottsville, reported she was followed by two vehicles from the Deer Lake area of Route 61. The two continued to follow her to the intersection where they got out of their vehicles.

The two then punched the woman multiple times in the face. They pulled her from her 2019 Ford Fusion and continued to assault her.

They got back into their cars and fled northbound on 61.

The woman had multiple cuts and bruises on her face. Troopers did not indicate if she was taken to a hospital for treatment.

One suspect was described as a large Hispanic man with a goatee and the second a thinner Hispanic man. The vehicles involved were a 2008 Mitsubishi Endeavor and a Chevrolet Impala. Troopers said the license plate of the Mitsubishi was obtained.

The investigation is continuing.
