State police at Lehighton said a pedestrian was struck at 1:05 a.m. July 4 at the intersection of Interchange Road (Route 209) and Route 248, in Franklin Township.

Troopers said Nicholas A. Lynn, 42, of Catasauqua, driving a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado truck was attempting to turn left onto Interchange Road from 248 when he struck Laurence Rausch, 68, of Lehighton.

Rausch suffered minor injuries and was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital, Franklin Township, by Lehighton ambulance.

The police report indicates no charges are pending.
