Mauch Chunk Lake Park officials are ready for the upcoming Fourth of July holiday.

On Thursday, David Horvath, park director, said that he has been scheduling an extra ranger on patrol on weekends to help with any overflow crowds as a result of Beltzville reaching capacity, as well as just regular park visitors navigating the area.

“Other than that, it’s pretty much what we’ve been doing,” he said. “Usually this has always been a big weekend so we’re expecting a big crowd.”
