Below is the history of the Bowmanstown Veterans Monument:

• Bowman descendants erected the monument on Aug. 10, 1940.

• There is a plaque in memory of Bowmanstown Soldiers of War 1917-1919, that was done by Bowmanstown Borough.

• Veterans of World War II, 1941-45, are listed.

• It has a plaque honoring and in memory of these who served in the Korean War, Vietnam War and Gulf War that was added in 1992.

• The flagpole was dedicated to soldiers who put their lives at risk to protect and ensure the freedom we all now cherish. This was done be the residents of the borough, and philanthropists the Cipko Brothers on United Nations Day 2000.
