Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Clay of Jim Thorpe recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

They were married on June 3, 1972, in St. John Lutheran Church, Jim Thorpe, by the Rev. H. Oscar Schessman.

Mrs. Clay is the former Linda Heffelfinger, daughter of the late Thomas and Marianna Heffelfinger of Lehighton.

Mr. Clay is the son of the late Bud and Marie Clay of Jim Thorpe.

The couple has two children, Yvonne and her husband, Anthony DePue; and Ralph II and his wife, Maggie. They also have three grandchildren, Ralphie III and Emaly Clay and Anthony DePue.

To celebrate the occasion, the Clays took a trip to Aruba, where they enjoyed a Jeep caravan excursion to the first chapel built by the first pilgrims on the island. They also enjoyed a family party.
