Palmerton area woman turns 102

Live, love, laugh and be happy.

It’s those beliefs, along with her faith, that have proved to be Nan Kaiser’s secret to a long life.

Kaiser, who turned 102 on Wednesday, celebrated her special day with friends and family at The Palmerton.

As part of the event, Kaiser indulged in birthday cake, was the recipient of flowers, and enjoyed classic songs from back in the day.

A mother to three sons and one daughter, Kaiser reads her Bible every day, and credits her faith in the scriptures and what is promised.

Before moving to The Palmerton, Kaiser lived in Wilson Borough for 80 years.

Crocheting, Swedish weave, and jigsaw puzzles were chief among her hobbies.

Kaiser loved her church, and at one point was a Sunday School teacher.

Longevity seems to be on Kaiser’s side, as her mother lived to be 103.

As the saying goes, like mother like daughter.
