Road to be closed for work

South Fireline Road will be closed for road work from July 18 to Aug. 18, according to Parryville council member Donald Smith. Local residents should take other routes.

Representatives from DaVita presented information on a DEP sewage facilities planning module which will partner Parryville with Franklin Township for a small portion of land. Council unanimously voted to accept the module.

Concerns about a new Airbnb property were raised by local resident Scott Everett. Council President Jason Smith and solicitor Robert Frycklund offered to look into the state and local requirements for short-term lease properties.

Parryville’s grant bid for LSA funds to build a new firehouse was denied. While Parryville applies every year, they “need support from state legislators to make it happen.” They will apply again next year.

The Parryville Fire Department will host their monthly breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon on Aug. 3.
