June 24, 1952 - A big offensive day leads Lansford to a 9-4 American Legion victory over Palmerton. The winners, coached by Bob Shinton, collect 16 hits in the contest - including three each from Mike “Dixie” Snoha, Eddie Chuckran and Dick Davidyock. One of Chuckran’s hits is a double, while he and Davidyock both score two runs. Lansford also receives a pair of hits from Johnny Zuzu and Mike Sniscak. For Palmerton, Willard Fritzinger and Jim Smida both finish with a pair of hits.
