A Schuylkill County man is facing charges of assaulting a woman with a baseball bat.

State police at Frackville said troopers responded to Forest Lane in Cass Township, at 10:38 p.m. on June 17 for a report of a domestic dispute. It was determined that after an argument Robert Gleason, 42, of Pottsville, struck a 43-year-old woman, in the rear of the head with a baseball bat.

Troopers charged Gleason was a felony 2 count of aggravated assault, misdemeanor 2 counts of simple assault and recklessly endangering another person; and a summary offense of harassment - physical contact.

The police report did not indicate if the victim required medical attention.
