State police at Frackville reported investigating two incidents at Schuylkill County locations - one a gas drive-off and the second a suspicious package.

The gas drive-off occurred at 8:15 a.m. on June 15 at the Brown Bag, located at 832 Barnesville Drive (Route 54), in Ryan Township. Troopers said an older woman, operating a minivan, fled without paying $81 for gasoline.

The suspicious package incident was reported on June 19 along East Blaine Street in McAdoo. A 27-year-old man reported a suspicious item on his front lawn. The item was identified as a brown travel suit case. After a further investigation the origins of the suit case were not determined. Contact was made with the state police hazardous device and explosive section who arrived on scene and determined the suit case was no threat to the community.
