Schuylkill crashes

State police at Frackville reported on the following crashes investigated by troopers on Schuylkill County roadways.

• A two-vehicle crash was reported at 3:59 p.m. along Route 54 (Mahanoy Avenue), east of Purnell Avenue, in Rush Township. Troopers said Erica J. Bachman-Brown, 44, of Frackville, driving a 2011 Dodge Nitro, was entering 54 negotiating a left-hand turn into the westbound lane and pulled out into oncoming traffic. She ended up side-by-side with a 2003 Ford Focus driven by Haylee M. Burns, 20, of Tamaqua. Burns swerved to avoid a collision and struck a curb off the right shoulder.

The Nitro sustained minor damage to the passenger side door, while the Focus sustained disabling damages to the front end passenger side wheel.

No one was injured. The Focus was towed from the scene.

Bachman-Brown was cited for the crash.

• Another crash was reported in Rush Township on June 15 at 3:11 p.m. along Route 309 (Claremont Avenue), near Douglas Street. Troopers identified the drivers involved as Carole A. Buchin, 80, of Weatherly, and Daniel R. Podlesny, 21, of Conyngham, Luzerne County. A passenger with Podlesny, a 17-year-old girl from Sugarloaf, Luzerne County, was injured and taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Hazleton Campus, by McAdoo ambulance. Both drivers were not injured.

Details of the crash were not released by troopers.
