A Schuylkill County man is facing arson charges for allegedly torching his own vehicle.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said on June 20 at 11 p.m. troopers responded to 44 Kings Village Road, in Norwegian Township, for a pickup truck fully engulfed in flames in the parking lot of Kings Village mall. Another vehicle was damaged as a result of the fire.

Troopers developed a suspect through their investigation and after questioning the registered owner of the vehicle he confessed to starting the fire.

The police report indicates Donovan Tobin, 20, is the suspect facing arson and criminal mischief charges. No address was given for Tobin.
