Monroe County crashes

State police reported on the following crashes investigated by troopers on Monroe County roadways.

Crashes investigated by Fern Ridge troopers:

• A two-vehicle crash occurred at 11:33 a.m. on May 29 along Route 115 in Tobyhanna Township. Troopers said Michael P. McDermott, 45, of Blakeslee, was driving a 2012 Chevrolet Impala southbound near the Interstate 80 off-ramp when his vehicle collided with a 2010 Cadillac SRX operated by Roseanne Rojas, 42, of Perth Amboy, New Jersey. After impact the Impala hit a posted route sign before coming to rest.

No one was injured. Both vehicles were towed.

McDermott was cited for careless driving.

• A two-vehicle crash was reported at 10:17 a.m. on June 6 along Route 115 in Tunkhannock Township. Troopers said April Getz, 39, of Kunkletown, was driving a 2015 Dodge Caravan, and Ronald Tyminski, 62, of Effort, was driving a 2018 Ford F150 truck, both northbound. Tyminski came to a stop due to road construction and Getz did not stop in time and a collision occurred.

Getz was injured and taken to a hospital. Tyminski was not injured. The Dodge was towed.

Troopers cited Getz for careless driving.

• A one-vehicle crash happened at 4:43 p.m. on May 16 along Long Woods Drive in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County.

Troopers said Luckner Thelemarque, 39, of Effort, was driving a 2016 BMW eastbound and going too fast for conditions. He lost control of the vehicle which left the road and went into a wooded area where it collided into a tree.

Thelemarque was not injured. The vehicle was towed.
