Skabla, 57, of Albrightsville, was driving a 2016 Harley-Davidson Road King bike westbound and approaching the intersection with Country View Lane, when he suffered a possible diabetic episode which caused him to lose control of the bike. The bike went onto the berm and came to rest against an embankment.

Skabla sustained injuries to his left leg and was taken by West End ambulance to the Lehigh Valley Hospital - Pocono, East Stroudsburg. Damages were minor to the bike.

• A one-vehicle crash occurred at 4:38 p.m. on June 18 along Lovitt Road in Towamensing Township, Carbon County. Troopers said Dana L. Moore, 57, of East Bangor, was driving a 2020 Chevrolet Trax too fast for road conditions southbound when she swerved to avoid a deer. Moore lost control of the vehicle and entered the oncoming lane, went onto the berm and struck a tree with the front end.

After initial impact the vehicle bounced off the tree and came to final rest facing south.

Moore and her passenger, Helen S. Lozier, 73, of Bangor, were injured and taken to St. Luke’s Carbon Campus, Franklin Township, by Palmerton ambulance.

The vehicle sustained heavy front end damages and had to be towed.
