Widener University recognizes graduates

Widener University recently awarded degrees to undergraduate and graduate students who completed their studies. Ceremonies were held May 12 and May 14. The university provided two in-person, outdoor celebration options.

Local graduates included:

• Netoya S. Nevarez of Effort, who earned a Master of Social Work, or MSW, from the College of Health & Human Services.

• Taylor Marie Hirochek of Palmerton, who earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from the College of Arts & Sciences and a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the College of Arts & Sciences.

• Autumn Rose Bender of Kunkletown, who earned a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from the School of Engineering.
