Tamaqua graduate Derian Stianche enjoyed another strong season for the Rider University track and field team in his junior season.

The team of Stianche, Gobi Thurairajah, Nathan Armstrong, and Richie Castaneda finished the 4x800 in 7:30.79 at the IC4A Championships, good for an All-East honor, sixth place overall, and the fourth-best Rider record.

In the 4x400, Artie Burgess, Sekai Lyken, Freddie Haynesworth, and Stianche took seventh place with their All-East honor time of 3:18.32.

Kevin Heredia, Armstrong, Stianche, and Thurairajah took third in the 4x800 relay with an IC4A time of 7:41.98 at the MAAC Outdoor Championships previously.

As a sophomore, Stianche finished fourth at the MAAC Outdoor Championships as a member of the 4x400 relay team. He was 19th in the 800-meters at the MAAC Outdoor Championships with a time of 1:59.13, and was a member of the Member of the MAAC All-Academic team.
