Lehigh County crashes

Pennsylvania State Police released information on the following crashes:

• A Schuylkill County driver was involved in a one-vehicle crash in Lehigh County on May 24 at 10:06 p.m.

State police at Bethlehem said Carisa L. Giniewski, 19, of Tamaqua, was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Impala eastbound on Route 309 in Heidelberg Township and began to negotiate a curve and travel downhill. The vehicle began to slide on its right side and traveled onto the right shoulder. The vehicle’s right area hit a traffic sign. The vehicle then continued into the westbound lane, striking an uphill embankment off the westbound lane, where it came to rest.

Giniewski sustained a suspected minor injury but did not require immediate medical attention. She was cited for the crash. The vehicle was driven from the scene.

• State police at Fogelsville said Jacob L. Beers, 25, of New Ringgold, was driving a 2016 Dodge Dart on Route 309 in Lynn Township, at 9:49 p.m. on June 7 and attempted to pass on the left on wet roads. Troopers said Beers accelerated at a faster rate and lost control of the vehicle. The Dodge spun counterclockwise across both lanes of travel and hit a guide rail with the front right. The Dodge continued to spin counterclockwise and hit the guide rail again with the right rear, coming to rest at that location.

Beers was not injured. He was cited for the crash.
