Together with Veterans NEPA is hosting two veteran events later this week.

Coffee and Camaraderie

The next Vietnam Veteran Coffee and Camaraderie event will take place at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday at the Carbon County Environmental Center, located along Lentz Trail in Summit Hill.

The event is just a way for Vietnam veterans to enjoy coffee and conversation.

Scouting for Vets

On Friday, join the Girl Scouts In The Heart of Pennsylvania for a women’s veteran event.

The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the McCartney Pavilion in Mauch Chunk Lake Park.

The Girl Scouts in attendance will earn their “Honoring our veterans” patch and get to meet Janet Donovan, Girls Scouts president and CEO.

Women veterans in attendance will be able to connect to other female vets and help the local youth.

Lunch will be provided.
