The Schuylkill County PrideFest will be held from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Schuylkill County Fairgrounds.
Mikaela Gavaletz, executive director and founder of the “PrideFest,” announces the festival venue will host over 40 art vendors and crafters as well as various local, county, state and national health organizations and outreach resources.
Sponsors include Lehigh Valley Health Network, HOPE Center of Schuylkill County, The Sexual Assault Resource and Counseling Center, Schuylkill Wellness, D.G. Yuengling & Son and M&T Bank.”
“I am proud to announce the presence of Human Rights Campaign who continually fight to preserve the rights of the LGBTQ+ community, with emphasis recently on fighting in the United States courts against proposed state legislation that would profoundly and adversely effect the lives of our transgender youth.”
The Veterans Affairs and the VA Hospital of Lebanon will present. To round out the day, three live bands will be taking the stage, two local bands and our headliner from New York City, Dan Kiernan. The music performances will be flanked by exciting and family friendly drag performances with music provided by DJ, Corrine Albright.
