Late-inning heroics helped Nazareth turn back Palmerton in a Lehigh Valley Connie Mack contest on Wednesday.

Elsewhere, the Carbon Monarchs fell in Lehigh Valley Legion action, while Berlinsville’s winning streak in Blue Mountain League play also came to an end.

Palmerton-Nazareth

Zach Meyer’s RBI single in the bottom of the seventh inning lifted Nazareth to an 8-7 win over Palmerton in Lehigh Valley Connie Mack action.

Meyer’s game-winner scored Daems, who walked with one out to start the rally for Nazareth (4-3). Meyer finished 2-for-4 with a pair of RBIs and a run scored. Trimmer (two RBIs) and Snyder (two runs scored) also had a pair of hits, while Tomoney (two runs scored) and Socdenitch both collected doubles.

The Blue Bombers (2-3) rallied to tie the game with three runs in the top of the seventh inning after also scoring three times in the previous inning to make it a one-run game. Nate Steinmetz was 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored for Palmerton, while Ashton Solt also collected a pair of hits and scored a run. Trevor Stroup doubled and drove in two runs, while Bryce Silliman also had a hit and an RBI, Trey Sterling collected a hit and scored a run, and Mason George finished with a walk and two RBIs.

South Parkland stayed unbeaten with a 5-2 win over Carbon in a Lehigh Valley Senior Legion contest.

Jaiden Wanamaker was 2-for-4 with three RBIs and a run scored for South Parkland (5-0). Kurt Meehan also tripled and scored twice. Anthony Carpenter struck out seven on the mound, allowing three hits and two unearned runs in five innings.

Ian Rarick, Randy Bongiorno (run scored), Hayden Goida and Michael Yeakel (run scored) all had hits for the Monarchs (1-3).

A big sixth inning lifted Limeport to a 10-7 win over Berlinsville in Blue Mountain League play.

Charlie Barebo hit a two-run homer in the first inning for the Dodgers (5-2), who erupted for five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning. Luke Hostetter was 2-for-4 with a triple and three RBIs, while Panther Valley graduate Brad Buzzard was 1-for-2 with two RBIs, two runs scored and a pair of walks.

Owen Fischl had a double, triple, two RBIs and a run scored for the Braves (4-4), while Shane Fillman added two hits, two runs scored and a stolen base. Zach Day tripled with two RBIs and two runs scored for Berlinsville, which had won three straight.
