The Friends of Lansford Recreation will kick off a free summer concert series Friday night with Parrotbeach, featuring the songs of Jimmy Buffet.

The concert takes place 6-9 p.m. at Kennedy Park.

Bring lawn chairs, blankets, snacks and soft drinks, and enjoy an evening of island favorites.

Proceeds benefit the opening of the Lansford Pool.
