Road rage incident investigated

State police at Fern Ridge are investigating a road rage incident.

Troopers said on May 23 at noon they responded to Kinsley Drive and Weir Lake Road in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, for a report of a male being struck in the face following a road rage incident.

Through an investigation it was determined that a 17-year-old male from Effort, and a 40-year-old man from Saylorsburg, who troopers declined to identify, exited their vehicle at a red light and approached a 21-year-old man from Albrightsville, who was seated in his vehicle. The two then struck the victim through the driver’s side window.

The two were both charged with harassment - physical contact.

Troopers also reported on June 1 at 4:41 p.m. they responded to a residence along Ranger Road in Chestnuthill Township for a report of a domestic type incident. Upon arrival troopers said it was learned that a 33-year-old man from Kunkletown, who troopers declined to identify, punched a 49-year-old man from Effort in the face, causing bruising and swelling. The suspect was charged with simple assault.
