A New Jersey motorcyclist was killed in a crash in Middle Smithfield Township, Monroe County at 5:11 p.m. May 29.

State police at Stroudsburg said William Rosado, 41, of Piscataway, was operating a 2020 Kawasaki bike along Big Ridge Drive southbound when he lost control. The bike went onto the berm and at this time Rosado dismounted the bike and proceeded to strike a tree. The bike continued on down a grass embankment striking several other trees before coming to rest.

After Rosado struck a tree he continued southbound and struck several other trees.

Rosado was pronounced dead at the scene by a member of the county coroner’s office. The bike sustained minor damages.
