State Police at Schuylkill Haven

State police at Schuylkill Haven reported on the following incidents.

• On May 19 at 1:05 p.m. troopers responded to the Schuylkill Intermediate Unit 29 School, 17 Maple Ave., in Norwegian Township, for a report of an argument. An altercation occurred in which one student, a 13-year-old boy from Pottsville, punched another student, a 14-year-old boy from Minersville, several times. A staff member broke up the fight.

Troopers said the 13-year-old was cited for harassment - physical contact.

• On May 24 troopers were dispatched to Pine Boulevard in Deer Lake for a domestic dispute. It was determined that Kyle Grube, 29, of Orwigsburg, strangled his mother and struck his father, resulting in injury. He was taken into custody and charged with strangulation, a felony 2, and misdemeanor count of simple assault and two summary counts of harassment - physical contact.

He was arraigned before a district judge and committed to the county prison in Pottsville unable to post $25,000 straight cash bail.

• On May 3 at 1:24 a.m. troopers conducted a traffic stop of a 2007 Ford Escape in the 1400 block of Route 61, in North Manheim Township, for a traffic violation.

The driver, Robert Nuss, 54, of Bath, was found to be impaired and also in possession of marijuana. The investigation is ongoing.
