Panther Valley advances to the District 11 Class 3A finals as the result of an 8-7 come-from-behind victory over Notre Dame of Green Pond on Saturday.

The district finals will be played at 3:35 p.m. Tuesday at DeSales University, with the winner of that game advancing to the state playoffs.

Notre Dame was the top seeded team in the 3A tournament, while the Panthers were seeded fourth.

The Crusaders jumped out to a 4-0 first inning lead, but the Panthers did all their scoring in the final three innings - four runs in the seventh - to gain the win.
