The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 360 in Weatherly invites all residents to walk with them on their Poppy Walk on Saturday. Registration for the event will take place at the post home starting at 9:30 a.m. and the cost is $10.

The walk will start at 10 a.m. rain or shine unless there is extreme weather. All registrants will begin at the post home and continue to the Weatherly Plaza which is approximately one mile.

Participants will have choice of a 1-, 2-, or 3-mile distance walk. Children younger than 18 years of age must be registered by a parent. Children younger than 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult during the walk.

Monetary donations are also welcome from nonwalkers. Donations can be dropped off before the walk or at this week’s pizza sale. All monies received will be used by American Legion Auxiliary Unit 360 for their programs that support veterans, the military community, and their families. Light refreshments will be served after the walk.
