The Hometown Heroes Fire Muster, a community firefighters’ appreciation and informational event held in conjunction with Pocono and Jackson townships’ volunteer fire companies, will be held at Camelback Resort.

The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Camelback Resort in Tannersville. It will be held at Camelback Mountain Village, Lots 2 & 3, parking lot 7.

The event brings the community together to learn more about the volunteer fire companies and their contributions while having tons of fun.

There will be fire company apparatus display, friendly competitions, demonstrations, kids’ games and activities.

Hometown Heroes Fire Muster goers will be spectators at the Firefighter Game of friendly competitions, view the Jackson Township Fire Company’s Smoke Trailer fire prevention tool and watch fire extinguisher demonstrations.

For the kids, there will be activities and games.

The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources will be represented to initiate forest fire prevention Smokey Bear activities, and local antique apparatus owners are welcome to enter into an apparatus judging competition.

Refreshments will be available.
