State police at Lehighton

State police at Lehighton reported on the following incidents investigated by troopers.

• On Tuesday at 9:46 p.m. troopers were dispatched to a residence along Little Gap Road in Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County, for a report of a possible burglary. On scene troopers found David Gelegonya, 42, of Aquashicola, hiding in the basement.

He was taken into custody and charged with criminal trespass, a felony 3. He was arraigned before a district judge and committed to the county prison in lieu of $2,500 cash bail.

• On May 11 at 10:01 p.m. troopers were dispatched to the area of 1137 Route 903 in Penn Forest Township, Carbon County, for a report of a one-vehicle crash. It was determined that Stevi-lorayn Platzer, 29, of Jim Thorpe, was driving a 2016 Chrysler 300 while under the influence of alcohol.

Police said she was driving southbound when the vehicle left the road on the right side and struck an embankment, rolled over, coming to rest in the front yard at 1137 Route 903, in an upright position.

Platzer sustained facial and hand injuries and was taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, by Lehighton ambulance.

Charges are pending.

• On Wednesday at 8:48 a.m. troopers conducted a traffic stop of a 2019 Jeep at Kuehner Drive and Byron Road, in Eldred Township, Monroe County. The driver, Shane Johnson, 28, of Effort, was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance. Charges are pending test results.

• On May 15 at 10:21 p.m. a 46-year-old woman from Butternut Street, Kunkletown, in Eldred Township, said a 43-year-old man from Kunkletown, who troopers declined to identify, made unwanted physical contact with her. He was charged with harassment - physical contact.

• On Wednesday at 1:27 a.m. troopers stopped a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu along Interchange Road at Strohls Valley Road, in Towamensing Township, Carbon County, The driver, a 36-year-old Kunkletown woman, was suspected of driving under the influence of a controlled substance. A passenger, a 39-year-old woman from Albrightsville, was found in possession of suspected controlled substances and drug paraphernalia.

Troopers did not identify either woman, but said appropriate charges will be filed pending test results
