Bollinger named to all-MAC Freedom First Team

Palmerton graduate Brock Bollinger was recently named to the All-MAC Freedom Conference Baseball First Team all-star team.

A first-year catcher for Misericordia University, Bollinger enjoyed a solid season for a Cougars team that posted a 28-17 overall record and a 15-6 conference mark.

The former Blue Bomber was 33-for-116 at the plate, finishing with a .284 batting average. Bollinger, who started 35 games, walked 20 times and was hit by 12 pitches, putting his on-base percentage at .422. He collected 12 extra-base hits, including 10 doubles and two homers, and finished with 29 runs scored and 23 RBIs.

Defensively, Bollinger threw out 12 runners attempting to steal and made only one error to finish with a .996 fielding percentage.
