A fast response by area firefighters quickly averted a serious Friday morning in Coaldale. Shortly before 8 a.m. fire companies from Coaldale and Lansford were dispatched to a construction vehicle fire at St. Luke’s Miners campus. Work crews were performing maintenance on the structure using a platform when the piece of equipment caught fire. No injuries were reported in the incident.
