A Walnutport man died after being pinned beneath a vehicle.

The Northampton County Forensic Center Office of the Coroner has identified the man as Patrick Mazziotta, 60.

Shortly after 7 a.m. Sunday, the Lehigh Township Police Department, along with Lehigh Township Fire and Rescue were dispatched to Great Metal Recycling, Walnutport, where a man was discovered pinned beneath a vehicle.

The Northampton County Coroner’s Office was contacted to investigate this case.

Mazziotta was pronounced dead at the scene.

Through the investigation, it was determined that the car jack had slipped, resulting in the vehicle falling on the victim.

The manner of death was determined to be accidental. No further details will be released.
