MVS suffers another postponement

It seemed like deja vu once again at Mahoning Valley Speedway, as for the fourth time in six weeks, rain and wet conditions forced the cancellation of Saturday night racing.

The Ward Crozier Sr. Memorial Pro 4 26 will be rescheduled to a later date, as will the “Where Are They Now” segment and Kids Big Wheels.

Next up on the schedule will be the May 22 Modified Spring Zing “Tom Wanick Jr. Memorial 150.” With a record $7,000-to-win, and over 30 Modified teams already signed up and more expected on race day, the event is shaping up to be a huge day of asphalt racing for fans of the paved ¼-mile oval.

Street Stocks and Hobby Stocks will also be in action.

The track will hold an open practice on May 21 from noon to 4 p.m.
