State police at Fern Ridge reported on the following crashes investigated by troopers on Monroe County roadways.
A two-vehicle crash was reported at 9:53 a.m. on May 5 along Route 715 in Jackson Township. Troopers said Salvatore Lacognata, 71, of Saylorsburg, was driving a 2021 Nissan Rogue northbound while Charles F. Lehmann, 70, of Albrightsville, was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Malibu southbound. The left front tire of the Rogue broke loose from the rim and struck the front of the Malibu, troopers said.
No one was injured.
A one-vehicle crash occurred at 6:27 p.m. on April 30 along Camp Akiba Road in Jackson Township.
Troopers said a 16-year-old male from Effort was driving 2003 Mitsubishi Spyder and negotiating a left curve in the road when he lost control.
The Spyder went onto the right shoulder and struck a utility pole. After impact the Spyder continued for another 100 feet before it came to rest in the right lane.
The driver and his 16-year-old male passenger from Saylorsburg, were not injured. The vehicle had to be towed.
The teen was cited for the crash.
