St. John’s Lutheran Church, Slatington, will host a Penny Party at 1 p.m. on May 14.

Doors open at noon.

Bring your pennies (and other coins and dollars as well) to bid on items.

Auction items range from 2 cents to 10 cents. Auction may include: cake mixes, dish detergent, greeting cards, pudding packs, etc. The list is endless.

To enter, you purchase tickets - 2/$1. Additional numbers will be available for purchase as well. Here’s how the game is played: The items are passed along the table on trays. If you wish to bid on that item, you will drop your number in one cup and the cost of the item in the other cup.

When the tray reaches the end, a number is drawn. You win the item if your number is called. Trays will flow constantly until we reach the last item.

Depending on the number items, there may be an intermission.

Special trays will be included as well for $1. There will be 50/50 drawing, mini-basket social and bake sale as well.
