Fire crews responded to a small dwelling fire at 1001 Industrial Road, Nesquehoning Tuesday afternoon. The call came in just after 3 p.m. Fire crews attributed the fire to a plastic butt can outside that caught the building on fire. All three Nesquehoning fire companies, as well as Lansford, Jim Thorpe, Weatherly and Lehighton Ambulance responded. The building sustained only exterior damages due to quick action by a neighboring Hydro Tech employee, who used a fire extinguisher to extinguish the fire. CONTRIBUTED PHOTO
