Marian’s Klitsch will play volleyball at Neumann University

Marian High School’s Ashlyn Klitsch will attend Neumann University to continue her academic and volleyball careers.

A four-year member of the Fillies varsity, Klitsch racked up over 1,000 career assists

Klitsch received numerous state, district and league honors during her career.

She was a two-time selection to the Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Association All-State team, making the squad following her junior season in 2020 and her senior season in 2021.

She was a three-time District 11 Class 1A All-Star, making the second team following the 2019 season, and the first team following both the 2020 and 2021 seasons. In 2021 she was named the District 11 Class 1A Volleyball Player of the Year.

She was a three-time Schuylkill League All-Star, making the second team in 2019, and the first team in both 2020 and 2021. This past season, Klitsch was also name the Schuylkill League Division 4 Player of the Year.

This past season, she was selected the Times News/Lehigh Valley Health Network Volleyball Player of the Year and the Pottsville Republican Volleyball Player of the Year.

Klitsch was a member of the National Honor Society, the French National Honor Society, the Student Council, and the Green Club at Marian and was also a member of the school’s Middle States team.

The daughter of David and Michele Klitsch, Ashlyn will major in general studies while at Neumann, an NCAA Division III school located in Aston, PA.
