Carbon County may be able to help.

On Thursday, Commissioners’ Chairman Wayne Nothstein said that the county is currently looking for at least students for the summer bridge crew. The county prefers college-age students, but will consider high schoolers as well.

“Over the past few years, we have had trouble getting six kids to participate,” he said. “We used to have 60 positions for the litter crews and 100 applications. It’s just the opposite now.”

In addition, the county is looking for seasonal lifeguards and part attendants.

“We can never have too many lifeguards,” Nothstein said.
