State police at Lehighton

State police at Lehighton reported on the following cases investigated by troopers;

• On May 2 at 7:25 p.m. troopers responded to the 400 block of E. Bertsch Street, Lansford, for a report of a harassment involving physical contact. Jessica Seltner, 31, of Lansford, and Matthew Plieth, 33, of Summit Hill, were both cited for harassment - physical contact.

• On April 12 at 12:45 a.m. troopers conducted a traffic stop of a 2002 Ford F250 pickup at East Amidon and South Pine streets, in Summit Hill, for numerous traffic violations. The driver, a 47-year-old man from Summit Hill, who troopers declined to identify, was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance. A further check revealed he had a active warrant for his arrest. He refused a test and was transported to the county prison in Nesquehoning on the warrant. Charges to be filed.

• On May 1 at 2:29 a.m. a 2008 Mercedes-Benz R350 was stopped at Manor Drive and Fireline Road in Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County, for a traffic violation. The driver, a 47-year-old woman from Palmerton, who troopers declined to identify, was found to be under the influence of alcohol. She refused testing. Charges will be filed.

• On April 27 at 5 p.m. troopers responded to a reported domestic incident at Stagecoach Road West and Crescent Drive, in Towamensing Township, Carbon County. As a result a 35-year-old woman and a 63-year-old man, both of Lehighton, who troopers declined to identify, were cited for harassment - physical contact.

• On April 29 at 2:41 p.m. troopers conducted a traffic stop of a 2003 Jeep Liberty along Route 248 in Franklin Township, Carbon County, for numerous traffic violations. The driver, a 27-year-old man from Lehighton, who troopers declined to identify, was found to be under the influence of alcohol and submitted to testing. Charges are pending test results.
