Supply chain issues still seem to be problem when it comes to ordering a new truck.
This week Chestnuthill Supervisors meeting, Chairman Chuck Gould told the board that due to supply chain issues the supervisors would need to rescind the order for the township’s 2023 truck order.
Gould said the board would need to make a motion to rescind the original order and consider approval for a 2024 truck that will be delivered in 2023.
Gould said, “So, it will be a slight bit more, like $1,000 or 3,000, but in both cases we are getting a newer truck,” he said.
A motion to authorize a bid on a 3/4 ton pickup truck and a 1 and a 1/2 ton dump truck was made and passed.
