There are solid high school students, and then there are those who rise above to become exemplary ones.

Several of Palmerton Area High School’s finest were recognized by borough council last Thursday for their outstanding achievements.

High school seniors Emma Christman, Hannah Citron, Grace Heist, Erin Kistler, Kyle Sebelin and Chris Walkowiak were presented with resolutions.

Of the students, however, only Christman, Sebelin and Walkowiak were in attendance.

Joined by family members, the students excitedly spoke of the many activities and organizations they participated in and represented throughout their illustrious high school careers.

They then thanked council for the acknowledgment.
