No one seriously injured in three-car crash in Palmerton

No one was seriously injured in a three-car crash that occurred just before noon Thursday in Palmerton.

Palmerton Police patrolman Brian White said the incident occurred at 11:59 a.m. at the intersection of Fifth Street and Delaware Avenue.

White said the cause of the incident is undetermined, but is believed to have been caused by one of the vehicles driving through a red light.

He said the three vehicles involved were a white 2021 Chevy Equniox driven by Keagen Krantz, 20, of Nevada; a white 2002 Ford F350 pickup truck operated by Greg Rehrig, 59, of Lehighton; and a green 2011 Subaru Outback driven by Carol Copeland, 61, of Lehighton.

White said Copeland was transported by her husband to the hospital for evaluation.

He said the Equinox was disabled; the F350 pickup truck sustained some front-end damage but was drivable; and the Subaru Outback sustained minor damage on the passenger front bumper.

White said no citations will be issued.

He said also assisting at the scene were the Palmerton Police Department and Palmerton EMS.
